Cuban Jazz and Rumba Tour
A Cuba Tour for the music fans of Latin-Jazz, Afro-Cuban Rumba, Jazz Fusions, and more
Interactive and unique experiences with real Rumberos!
The Cuban Jazz and Rumba Tour is the perfect Cuban music tour combination of Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban Rumba music. We will take you on a journey of the history of Cuban music with our team of musician tour guides and Cuban musicologists. We will discover historic styles of music as well as modern fusion and the relation between Jazz and Rumba. This is the perfect tour for the jazz and Cuban music lover. We max this tour out at only 8 people! So, this is a super small group, which gives a few VIP options and more privacy privileges.
Each night will be packed with live music centered around Jazz and Rumba. We will go to famous Jazz clubs like La Zorra y El Cuervo, Jazz Café, and Fabrica de Arte Cubano. These clubs are home to some of the best music groups in all of Havana.
We will enjoy the best private restaurants (Paladares) in Havana. Famous and award-winning places like La Guarida, El Del Frente, Atelier, Cafe Laurent, and more. The perfect mix of classic Cuban cuisine and international culinary fusion.
We will visit a small private studio in Old Havana dor a unique private studio performance by a Latin-Jazz group. We will listen closely with headphones and precise instrumental clarity. Just like those Snarky Puppy videos!
This tour includes a day trip to Matanzas and Varadero. In Matanzas, we will have a unique immersive workshop experience with one of Cuba’s most famous Afro-Cuban Rumba groups, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas. We will get to learn about their history and even watch them rehearse!
We will attend at least one “Tambor” during your visit. This is the historic cultural gathering for Afro-Cuban religious music. We will explore how “Rumba” and “Palo” are also historically related to Afro-Cuban religions like Santeria.
