HELP US RAISE FUNDS FOR CUBAN MUSICIANS

This section of our site is dedicated to raising money for Cubans and Cuban musicians.

We are always dedicated to supporting the Cuban people, not only with our tourism niche but by providing Cubans with necessities that the brutal U.S. embargo doesn’t allow easy or affordable access to.

Help Us Bring Urgent Relief After Hurricane Melissa in Eastern Cuba

Eastern Cuba has been severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa, with strong winds and heavy rains causing widespread destruction across provinces like Guantรกnamo, Imรญas, and San Antonio. Early reports indicate collapsed homes, power outages, and significant losses to local infrastructure, especially in rural communities where recovery resources are often limited.

Continuing Our Mission: From Hurricane Oscar to Hurricane Melissa

For those who have followed our work, you may remember that after Hurricane Oscar last year, we organized a small support brigade of four people who personally traveled through some of the hardest-hit areas. Together, with help from our community, we raised around $10,000 and used every dollarโ€”and moreโ€”to purchase medicines, food, mattresses, and essential goods. We even rented two jeeps to deliver supplies deep into the mountains, where access was nearly impossible. Havana Music Tours covered additional costs to ensure that every family we reached received real, immediate support.

This year, weโ€™re doing it again.
Weโ€™re preparing a new relief effort to respond directly to the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Our team is already coordinating logistics to purchase and send food and emergency supply packages through trusted services like CUBAMAX TRAVEL, which allows us to get resources into the hands of affected families quickly.

Supporting Cubaโ€™s Musicians, Artists, and Their Families

As always, our focus remains on supporting musicians, artists, and their familiesโ€”the same people who help keep Cuban culture alive through their creativity and resilience. Many of these artists live in vulnerable regions, and when disasters like this strike, they often lose not only their homes but also their instruments and means of livelihood.

Our New Nonprofit and Commitment to Long-Term Relief

We recently received our official 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, and while we havenโ€™t fully launched the organizationโ€™s website yet, this fundraiser will serve as one of our first official initiatives. Weโ€™re working behind the scenes to officially launch our nonprofit soon, creating a long-term platform dedicated to cultural and humanitarian projects throughout Cuba and beyond.

All donations made through this campaign are tax-deductible and will be used entirely for direct aidโ€”purchasing food, water, medicine, and basic supplies for families in need. Our goal is transparency and impact: every dollar raised will go directly toward relief efforts.

Important Donation Instructions

When making a donation, please do not include any references to Cuba, Havana, Santiago, or other city names in the payment description. Payment processors often use automated systems that can flag or freeze transactions mentioning Cuba for OFAC compliance review. To ensure your donation reaches the people who need help, please use terms like โ€œHurricane Reliefโ€ or โ€œHurricane Melissa.โ€

This is currently our only active fundraising campaign, and all proceeds will be dedicated entirely to Hurricane Melissa relief in Cuba.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with the Cuban people. Your support helps us bring real aid to those most affected and reminds our friends and collaborators in Cuba that they are not alone.
